Super Sized Christmas

This year we were able to celebrate Christmas FIVE times. We are so lucky to have such great families to celebrate with!

Our first celebration was last weekend with Grandma Barb's family.

Us with our puppies, just what we need at our house is MORE dogs!

Us with our cousins. Sam is hiding.

As we talked about in our last post Santa made a special trip to our house so we could open presents from him in Christmas Eve Day. Addison is STILL mad Santa did not bring her a dollhouse. Her phrase of the morning was "I really wish Santa would have brought me a dollhouse" with her lip hanging out.
We spent the rest of Christmas Eve with Grandma Barb, Grandpa Bubba, Stacy, Chub, Hannah, Ethan, and Cameron.

Addison opening her dollhouse, "Santa didn't get me a dollhouse." Seriously Santa is in some MAJOR trouble with Addison!

Next stop on Christmas Day night was Grandma Kathy's family. No pictures from this event..it was CROWDED!

Our last celebration was with Grandpa Steve's family. Great Grandma Bobbee is still recovering from a fall last month so we went and saw her on our way.
Then we were off to Thom and Barb's for some fun!

Cousins
Uncle Thom
Great Grandpa Al

We all hope you had as great of a Christmas as we did. Addison is already looking forward to next Christmas and has started her list for Santa. He BETTER bring her what she wants next year or he may never get back on her nice list!

Santa Claus is coming to town (early)!

Hi it's Eli. I am SO excited! Santa knows that we won't be home on Christmas day so he is coming tonight. Can you believe he is making a special trip just for us?!? We made it worth his while.

We left food for the reindeer.

And pumpkin bread for Santa.
We had one close call at bedtime. Mom called Santa and told him to turn around because we weren't being good. We were so sad. Santa told mom he would give us one more chance to be good and then he would turn around and go back to the North Pole. We REALLY want those presents so we are DONE talking now. Good night..I hope Santa doesn't wake me when he comes.

A tradition that will NOT continue!

Alison here. So I tried to start a tradition this year. I bought this for $8.99. Perfect pre-baked gingerbread. All I have to do is stick it together and let the kids go crazy with candies. Easy, right?
MOMS-DON'T DO IT. Total nightmare, walls falling down, icing everywhere and 6 little hands trying to "help" me. After 15 minutes of trying to keep the house standing I gave up and went to plan B.

Slap some frosting on 3 pieces of the house

divide candies 3 ways
and decorate one HUGE gingerbread cookie.

Now one would think the next step would be eat, but not for my little angels. Bed time was not going well that night so they were warned that they needed to quiet down. 5 minutes later this is who ate the gingerbread....
as my 3 sad children watched and screamed. Looking on the bright side, they got back in their beds and I did not hear a peep for the rest of the night. So although I don't think I started a new tradition, I did get the point across that I mean business!

Our Holiday Concert

We have been looking at all of our friends blog posts over the past 2 weeks and noticed LOTS of them had concerts. We wanted to have a concert of our own.

Not too big of a crowd...
A stage...
Some festive lights...
and we were the stars.

Sorry to those who missed it. It was a limited time engagement. Maybe next year!

Triple the Laughs #6 and beyond...

Quotes from Eli:
"Santa needs a haircut"
"Is this for wiping your butt or your ass?"

He must get the potty mouth from his Grandpa Bubba!

A conversation with Morgan:
M-"What does Santa look like?"
Me-"He has long hair, a beard, and a big belly."
M-"A big belly like you mommy!"
(she then backtracked and said I was big so I had a big belly as opposed to her who is little so she has a little belly)

A quote from Addison:
"Mom I am awesome!"

She will never be short in the self-esteem department!

STAY SAFE DURING THE BIG STORM EVERYONE!

All she wants for Christmas...

is a semi! If you voted for Morgan you were right!

A wonderful winter day!

Today was a great day. Mom said we were "really good and made her really happy" so she gave us our legos back that Dad took away a couple days ago because we were so naughty. YAY for us! Hopefully we can keep being good so we can get our fire truck and dump truck back!

We went to Caribou for $2 chocolate drinks. We got hot chocolate with whipped cream and chocolate chips.
Here I am with mine..I am pretty cute huh?

Then we played in the snow.
Me and Morgan jumping

Eli
Boy we were HUNGRY after all that playing, so mom made us a frozen pizza-one of our favorites.

Eli gets pretty messy when he eats!
Then we did a little fashion show using moms shoes.

Eli already has good taste in shoes-his wife will love that!

Morgan LOVES these shoes
No winter day would be complete without cookies!
I hope we can keep this good streak going...if we do we will go swimming tomorrow!

Gearing up for Christmas

The day after thanksgiving the kids begged me to put up the tree. So we did.
Then we made sugar cookies. The kids think they are good, but Peter and I agree they taste like flour.
To top it off we made festive bell necklaces.

HAPPY HOLIDAYS everyone!
