Original art work

In the new house we have tons of BIG, EMPTY walls.  I am not complaining...I am thrilled to find inexpensive ways to decorate our space.  So the kids play area downstairs have been bothering me.

BLEH!  Who wants to play here!?!?

So I decided to let the kids paint (using colors they chose themselves) some large canvases to hang in their space.  Thanks to my cousin Tiffany for giving me the tip on how to make sure it did not look like someone had the stomach flu on the canvas (tip: use colors NEXT to one another on the color wheel and you don't get brown!)  Those art teachers know what they are talking about!  Here is how they turned out.

By Morgan (it's more clear what it says in person)

By Addison
These original works of art are not something I would hang in my living room, but I think for a kids space they are perfect! Now I just have to talk Peter into hanging them on the walls :)

It's here!!!

The holiday season is here and we are so excited!

Mom note: This tree is so beautiful with clumps of ornaments hanging on it, many sharing branches.  The picture just does not do it justice.  Thanks Target for having a cheap tree and ornaments from the dollar aisle so that my kids can decorate to their hearts delight and without driving me crazy!

Celebrating...

Today is World Prematurity day.  So I feel the need to celebrate it and remember where my kids started.  Without the March of Dimes and the advances they have made in the care of premature infants and moms like me-who prefer to have a whole litter;) these little preemies....

Morgan 4lbs 8.5 oz, 12 days in Special Care
Eli 4lbs 10oz, 11 days in Special care

Addison 4lbs 2 oz, 10 days in Special care

The gang re-united- you can see from the picture Eli has been tormenting his sisters since birth!

Would not be these healthy 4 year olds (who are partying it up with Grandma Barb right now)

HAPPY WORLD PREMATURITY DAY!
