What we learned at the doctor

Mom says we have spent more time at the doctor in the last 2 months than we have in our whole life. This week we will take THREE trips to the doctor. This is what we have learned.

1. They can tell what's wrong with you by looking at your pee. Who knew?

2. Getting blood drawn is NO fun!

3. But you do get a cool prize after the blood draw.
4. You have to go to the doctor more often if you have a "flavor" (fever)
5. Some doctors have COOL tattoos!

6. Everything is fixed with a fridge full of pink stuff!

Now if we could only learn what is causing this:

and this:

Maybe at tomorrow's appointment. Stay healthy everyone!

Alison, those hives look exactly like what Maddie and Zoe had when they first had amoxicillin and then were diagnosed as allergic to it - they'd almost completed the full course before the hives appeared so I never suspected it could be an allergic reaction, but that's how it can happen. We now can't give them amoxicillin or any penicillin-type antibiotic. Good luck! -Shari

Yes her face is swollen in that picture. She has had the hive for over a month. The Allergist says it's hive as a result of a some virus she had. They don't bother her, they just look bad. He gave us some good prescription strength medicine which will help calm things down...no clue when they will actually go away.
