Getting caught up on being thankful..

8. Coffee. I am always thankful for coffee.
9. My health. I treat a lot of people who are very ill and it makes me appreciate how healthy I am.
10. Friends. As I have gotten older my group of friends grows but I have many friends that I still remain quite close to. I got together with 2 of my high school friends over the weekend. It's so nice to get together and be able to pick up right where we left off
11. Running. Although I have not done much running recently. Running has become one of the things that keeps me sane! The quote below sums up why I run and love it.
12. Crafting. It's right up there with running as a sanity saver. Right now I am really into knitting and crocheting. The picture below is of the kids in the hats and scarves I made for them. It snowed today and they were so excited to wear them!

Veteran's Day

Veteran's Day is this Sunday! Make sure you thank all of the Veteran's you know for their service to our country. You can also thank the troops currently serving by creating a free card that will then be printed and mailed.

Check it out here.

Being Thankful

6. Being able to vote. We are so fortunate to live in a democracy where we won't be killed for expressing our opinions.
7. The MN Marriage Amendment being defeated. I am SO proud of my state!! Way to go MN!!! (for those who don't know, a NO vote is not supporting a constitutional amendment defining marriage as only between a man and a woman)

Being thankful.

Since it's November now a lot of my friends are doing 30 days of Thankfulness. I am few days behind so I need to catch up.

I am thankful for
1. My husband Peter. He married me despite knowing all about my spending habits and the debt that came along with me!
2. My daughter Addison. She is just like me and it sometimes creeps me out. But she is a true blessing, sassiness and all.
3. My son Eli. He is such a sweet boy 1 minute and driving his sisters crazy the next. He adds a lot of noise to the house but I would not have it any other way.
4. My daughter Morgan. I had said it a million times, she is the reason we can handle triplets. She has been the easy going one from the beginning. She's not perfect, but definitely is the people pleaser of the group.
5. We caught the mouse that was in our oven the other night. C'mon not all of the things I am thankful for can't be deep. I don't want a rodent running around my house..enough said! RIP buddy!

MIA

Hello all. We have been a little behind on the blog here, but we have been keeping plenty busy. The blog has suffered because of an issue with Blogger and only being able to access the blog for publishing from the iPad. which makes for messy blog posts since I can't organize the pictures, they just show up at the bottom of the post. So here is smattering of pictures. Hoping to figure out the Blogger issues so my blog posts can be more organized.

Pictures as follows: Fall fun by the river, Halloween, Addison and Morgan in their clubbin clothes, Eli dressed as Ariel, more fun at the park and their first day of school

Decisions, decisions

I order my Holiday cards from Shutterfly every year and always have the same problem. So many cute cards, which one do I choose??

FIVE!

I feel like I say this every year but really how can they be five?!?! Today we celebrated with our family and friends and it was so much fun. I never make much of birthdays, including my own, but I feel to need to really celebrate my kids. They really are a miracle. At 6 weeks pregnant I was told that 1 or 2 or maybe all 3 would not make it and that reducing would be wise. At 12 weeks I was told that if they did live they would have disabilities. I was prepared for it even though it seemed to everyone I was "calm" while pregnant I had all the scary thoughts in my head. But, I kept them in my head. The weeks ticked by and with each week I grew more and more optimistic I would really have THREE healthy babies. On July 8, 2007 my vision was spotty. I went to the hospital and discovered I gained 22 pounds in 10 days, not something you want to do ever. So it was decided today was the day we would meet our babies. I was still nervous. Anything could still happen. Would they make it through the c-section, would they breathe? When they were in special care I wondered if they would gain weight, develop a brain bleed or acquire some life threatening infection. After 12 days they came home and the worry was still there. Would they develop normally, would they RSV? After five years and Kindergarten on the horizon I feel like maybe I can stop worrying about them being preemies. I'm the mom and will always worry but not about the same things. Kate Gosselin (who I know most people hate, but I kind of get her in a lot of ways and do channel my inner Kate at times) once said she celebrated her kids birthday because it could have ended up so differently so there is a lot to celebrate. I get that and that is why I celebrate these amazing little kids who drive me crazy at times but I am forever thankful they are here! (and because Blogger will only let me blog from my iPad right now, you get a smattering of pics I had on Facebook of my cute kids!)

Busy...

Apparently we have been a little busy since Easter.  Sorry to those of you that have been waiting for an update (Grandpa Bubba!)  Here is what we have been up to.

1. Mom went to Chicago for NINE days to become a Certified Lymphedema Therapist.  We missed her but had a lot of fun with Grandma Barb.

2. Our cousin Irelynn came and stayed with us for the weekend.  We had so much fun with her.  Irelynn you can some back any time!

3.  We went on a tour of our school for next year.  We are excited for Kindergarten!  Mom can't believe she will have 3 kindergartners!

4. We started swimming lessons again.  Addison is getting braver about jumping in.

5. We have been having a lot of picnics outside the last couple weeks.  Mom says it keeps her kitchen cleaner.

6.  Addison is doing well with her drug cocktail to treat her Systemic Onset Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis.  The doctors said maybe she can stop all her meds in a couple months!

7. Eli scraped his knee riding his bike tonight.  We are hoping to save the leg, but it's not looking good (insert sarcasm here).

8.  Addison is hard at work on her birthday list.  She has a new toy to add to it every day!  Morgan has one request for her birthday...any guesses what Morgan wants?

9.  Dad is staying busy working, golfing and playing with us.

10.  Eli got a big boy bed.  Morgan and Addison will get their bunk beds soon!

Answer to what Morgan wants for her b-day.....MONKIES!

Thanks for all the rides Uncle Thom!

Oxbow Park

Eli here, sorry we haven't been doing much with the blog but we are busy with day care, swimming lessons, gymnastics and playing.  Yesterday we went to Oxbow park with our cousins.  It was such a nice day, mom could not believe it's only April and she already has a tan!  Enjoy the pictures.

Addison and Cam, she really loves him

The porcupine in the background is dancing.  If you clap he dances more!
Even Daddy joined the fun

Our first visit..

from the tooth fairy!! Morgan and Eli are now itching to lose a tooth!

Triple the laughs

Eli "Mom can we have another candy bar?"

Me "No Eli you just had one.  You can't eat that much candy or you will get fat."

Eli "Like Grandpa Bubba?"

Sorry dad but it was just TOO funny not to post!

Future Olympians?

Tonight was our first night of gymnastics and we were so excited!!! We had so much fun on the bars, balance beam and tumbling mats.  Mom says after watching us on the balance beam we have a ways to go before we will be Olympians.
We are incapable of looking at the camera much to our moms dismay!
Another boy was in the class.

In other news the trip we took to the water park 2 weekends ago really helped us with our swimming.  We had our first lesson in the next level last night and the teacher said we have almost already passed it!
